She’s Here!

5 Minutes After BirthWe have much to rejoice in as we came home today as a family of 4! Abigail Patricia Ullum was born Friday morning Dec 21st at 6:40am. After an intense 8 hours of labor and delivery she came into the world bright eyed and crying. What a hard 8 hours but oh so wonderful to now be holding our little girl. She is eating well and sleeping a lot of course. At birth she was 7lbs and 19in. long. We were able to have a natural birth and everything went very well. 1 Hour After BirthEven the hospital we chose here in town was really a great place and we thank the Lord for leading us to this place. All was clean, low key, and very helpful staff through the whole thing.

We went into the hospital at about 12am after only 2 hours at home where things were progressing very quickly. We were the only patients in the whole delivery ward so it was almost like a homebirth with only 2 midwife nurses checking on our progress periodically. Proud DadThen at about 4:30am the Dr. was called in and within 2 hours little Abby had made her appearance. Tim was a great coach through the entire night as he told me stories for hours to keep me distracted from the pain.

We were at the hospital all day Friday and then this morning we were released to come home. How thankful we are that things went so smoothly and both Abby and I are already feeling pretty good and healthy. Thanks so much for all your prayers throughout the process. Home AgainTim kept reminding me that he had sent out an email letting you know we were in labor and that you were praying us through it.

We will of course keep you updated and send more pictures. This was just a quick note as we’re all very tired and the reality of it all is still settling in.

Love,

Ann
