Back in Indonesia

We made it back to Indonesia safe and tired.  It was a very busy couple of weeks leading up to our journey back but we thank the Lord for all of you we were able to connect with.  Our time of visiting and sharing with a church body in Kodiak, Alaska was also a very meaningful.  Boy was it cold for us but very beautiful and enjoyable.  Thanks to each one of you who made provisions for us to be there in Kodiak with you!  The flight back was pretty uneventful and the girls did a fair amount of sleeping which helped.  We were a bit concerned when the stewardess announced 2 different times that they had detected smoke in the bathroom, but thankfully nothing else came of it.   The day after we arrived in Jakartawe all headed to the American Embassy to apply for Dina’s American passport and SS#.   That too was also uneventful and we just heard yesterday that her passport is ready to be picked up!  That now completes all of Dina’s paerwork, WHEW!  So glad that’s all done.

The Lord showed His favor upon each step of the way for our little Dina and we now have so many more examples of His faithfulness and answers to prayer after all we’ve been through.

3 days after we arrived in Jakarta Tim flew almost 12 hours to Papua New Guinea to attend a conference that our leadership felt would be helpful for our future ministry here.  It was a bit of a last minute decision to go but we’re glad he was able to attend.  Thanks for praying for us as we’re apart and still trying to adjust to time zones.  The girls just got back to sleeping normally last night after a week of LONG, sleepless nights.

The Muslim holiday of fasting called Ramadan has just finished and today is the 2nd day of celebrating and visiting family.

The newspaper said that 15.8 million people were traveling to be with their families and boy does that lead to quite the chaotic traffic situations.  2 nights ago we could hear several different mosques doing their prayer chants all night long.  Such reminders of the need for the Gospel and the Holy Spirit to penetrate this country.

Thanks for all your prayers for us as we traveled back to Indonesia.  It is good to be back and we look forward to getting back to Borneo next week to see what the Lord has for us in this new phase of ministry.  Keep sending those emails and pictures of your family, we enjoy staying in touch that way we will try to do the same!

After His Glory,

Tim & Andrea
