Luk 2:14  “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

What an amazing choir the angels must have made when they broke through the veil of invisible things that night.  Three short phrases the angles sang, leaving the shepherds hearts burning to discover the source of their song.  Jesus is, “peace among men”.  Ephesians 2:14 “For He Himself is our peace…”  Jesus is the kind of true, tangible peace that results when all offences have been removed.  Jesus’ incarnation and the resulting “peace among men” is the source of our joyous song this holiday season.  

The 21st of Dec we will have a small party for Abigail.  She will be 1 year old.  Over the past few months we have been delighted to see Abby’s personality coming out more and more.  She truly is a ball of energy, with an insatiable desire to touch, climb, and taste everything in her path.  Pray with us that she will grow to know and love the Lord Jesus with all her heart and mind. 

As most of you know we have moved out to town for awhile as we try to invest in the Indonesian churches God has raised up here on the island.  Over the past few months we have had several good times of fellowship with these brothers and sisters in Christ.  I have also taken on some responsibilities within our mission team to help coordinate new outreaches here in Indonesia and providing consultant help to the teams that need it.  These are ways for us to be serving others who are serving as missionaries here in Indonesia. 

Last month we rented a house and have been slowly adjusting to life with just our family as opposed to staying with several other families as we have been at our mission home here in town.   Since we have been back in Indonesia I have been gone about half the time, which has been hard on Andrea and the kids.  We are looking forward to a few weeks here together before I leave again early January to travel interior.  Near our house here in town is an orphanage that serves handicapped children.  We are looking forward to spending Christmas Eve with them, sharing what we can to show the love of Jesus.   May you have a renewed peace and joy in your heart this Christmas season as you look not at the world and it’s uncertain economic and declining moral condition but rather focus on the unwavering Savior come to earth for us!
